Welcome to Moru (“Moru”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the Platform.

1. Definitions

  • Customer: Any individual placing orders or using Moru services.
  • Merchant / Seller: Any business listing and selling products on Moru.
  • Product: Any item offered for sale on the Platform.
  • Account: The user’s or merchant’s profile on the Platform.
  • Services: All features, tools, and functions offered by Moru.

2. Eligibility

  • Customers must be at least 18 years old.
  • Merchants must have valid commercial registration and authorization to sell goods.
  • Users must provide accurate and updated information.

Moru reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at its discretion.

3. User Accounts

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials.
  • All activities performed using their account.

Moru is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account use. Accounts may be suspended or terminated for fraud, violations, abuse, or illegal use.

4. Marketplace Role & Responsibilities

Moru operates as a marketplace facilitating transactions between merchants and customers.

  • Moru does not own the products sold by merchants.
  • Moru is not the manufacturer of listed goods.
  • Moru is not liable for product defects or merchant misrepresentation.

Merchants are solely responsible for:

  • Product quality and pricing
  • Descriptions and stock availability
  • Delivery accuracy (if self-fulfilling)
  • Compliance with Egyptian laws

5. Order Placement & Acceptance

All orders are offers to purchase and are accepted only upon confirmation and dispatch. Moru may cancel orders due to stock issues, pricing errors, fraud detection, payment issues, or logistical constraints.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method in accordance with payment processor regulations.

6. Pricing, Payments & Fees

  • Prices are set by merchants.
  • VAT inclusion depends on the merchant.
  • Prices may change due to promotions or availability.

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • Cash on Delivery (COD)
  • Debit/Credit Cards
  • Wallet or BNPL options
  • Bank Installments

7. Delivery & Shipping

Delivery may be merchant-fulfilled or Moru-fulfilled. Delivery times and fees are displayed at checkout. Moru is not responsible for delays caused by couriers, incorrect addresses, merchant delays, or force majeure events.

8. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Returns and refunds are handled in accordance with Moru’s policies and Egyptian consumer protection laws. Refunds are processed after inspection and within communicated timelines.

9. Merchant Obligations

  • Provide accurate and lawful listings
  • Ensure authenticity and availability
  • Avoid prohibited or counterfeit items
  • Fulfil orders within agreed timelines
  • Maintain customer satisfaction

10. Intellectual Property

All platform content is owned by or licensed to Moru and protected by law. Unauthorized use is prohibited. Merchants grant Moru a non-exclusive license to display product content.

11. User Conduct

Users must not misuse the Platform, create fake accounts, abuse promotions, or attempt system interference. Violations may result in suspension or legal action.

12. Third-Party Services

Moru uses third-party providers for payments, delivery, and analytics. Moru is not responsible for failures of third-party services.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moru is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Use of the Platform is at your own risk.

14. Indemnification

Users and merchants agree to indemnify Moru against claims arising from misuse, violations, or third-party rights infringement.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Disputes will be resolved through negotiation, mediation, and Egyptian courts.

16. Termination

Moru may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, violations, or abuse. Users may delete their accounts at any time.

17. Changes to the Terms

Moru may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
